Red face Nova's from the past.

This year sees our 30th anniversary so we were digging out some old photo's for some press stuff and came across these so i thought I would share, many are from old Courtenay dealerships days...

This is Neil Crofts Nova Sport that we supported in the Willhire 24 hour at Snetterton,

If my memory serves correct the car did well only suffering from one minor fault in the 24 hours and finished if I remeber right 1st or maybe 2nd in class.

This wide body Nova was fitted with a 1.8 16V big block engine from a MK Astra Ceasaro.

This Nova was built for Chris Courtenays wife and was 1.3 Turbo on a carburettor, as you can see it had the Hutchinson treatment along with irmscher headlamp kit, bumper and side skirts, with 2 tone paintwork also featuring early Cavalier SRi wheels.

From the back.. the bumper was a standard saloon bumper that the bdy shop spent along time sanding and smoothing to match the Irmscher front bumper. I think we could have made a bit more of an effort and managed a few more stickers on the back!

This is a Nova we supported in Jamaica that won many many championships it was driven by the owner/ dealer principle Peter Moodie who was also a handy rally driver as well.

The car also featured aload of Titanium valve gear as it blew the top end a few few times due to the revs it was pulling on some long straights.

This was the second of our Nova GTE Turbo demonstrators a G reg running Astra GTE wheels. Seen here as a coarse car at the Thunder saloons at Snetterton.

Lastly some then young man having a chat with Steve Berry on Cromer pier A16VTB in the back ground for the Top gear shoot.

The hutch looks like it's came off the road in 1999 looking on the dvla site. Im sure I remember you telling me in Belgium one year about a car you did that was running twin 40s with a turbo?
