    Default astra vs nova c16 - the same ?

    are there any differences between these 2 ?

    the inlet manifold on the astra seems a different shape, cant tell much else ?

    Southie, i think he's on about 8v, probably looking at Astra engines to put into his Nova, Google it, im sure a lot of the Astra ones are on diss pack, and if your looking at early mk4 Astra engines there not a straight swap, lot of faffing, and lot lower power out put.

    yeah, that's right scott, I was looking to possibly fit one into another wagon, but im curious as to why there 15 horse less. that's practically 15% difference for supposedly the same engine, with the same model number. any idea how / why ? im confused.

    the only thing I can think of, if its technically identical is the possibility that's its loaded up with electrical goodies and has quite a restrictive cat

    It's built for more economy a c16 and with that come power loss

    although
    I thought that they were both pretty much the same. whats different in the astra version ?
