I have no cat in it and it went through mot no bother. I've heard that 1.6 injectors give you a bit more jizz. does anyone know anything about remapping them?

    I got the 1.4 for 100 pound and I heard there isn't a lot of difference between the 1.4 and a 1.6

Suppose you cant argue at that, same price I payed for my 1.6 but I did expect a bit more power than ive got tbh but it goes well and handles well and keeps corsas n saxos at bay

You won't get much more now without spending money on engine work tbh, by chipping these it will be just putting more fuel in. Next on your list after a manifold upgrade will need to be ARP bottom end bolts, a set of re-profiled cams from Autosprint would be next after that. http://www.autosprint.co.uk/?p=p_27

then work up to maybe a set of bike carbs, twin 40's or jenveys depending on your budget.
Bear in mind that all the above will need different management to run them.

if you transferred the powerbox, and whatever else you've got on your 1.4 over to a 1.6... that'll get you an extra 16 horses roughly
