    Default how to make my 1.4 16v

    how can I make my 1.4 16v fast I have already put a power box on I was thinking of putting on a high pressure pump and a regulator on it or chipping it. how do I go about chipping it.

    it goes well up in till 4th but its dead in 5th

    Cheapest thing to do is strip the car out to make it faster (some will say go for a big poo).

    Also fit an F15cr gearbox and fit a Nova GTE clutch flywheel for decent acceleration up to about 100 - 110mph, not much point in mega top ends IMO unless you travel the motorways a lot.

    Chuck a powerbox inlet on amd a flat flywheel. Job done. Cheap and decent gains compared to anything else.

    I put 4-1 on my x16xe and its got a 2" straight through system, im yet to put a flat flywheel on it and f15 gearbox

    its fast too 100mph it does it in forth and I have a 8v flywheel in. is a f15 out of a turbo diesel?

    F15 is in a gsi, 5th is more of a cruising gear any way and it is only a 1.4 after all so I wouldn't expect much more than 115 out of it

    would the starter motor need to be changed to accommodate the F15 ?

    a de-cat pipe gets you a couple donkeys i hear too... although the mot emissions might suffer
