Combo van mate, Ben has played around with it all so it only adds a total of 5mm rear track so should work, needs new discs and pads and caliper re-furb, but should be all in place for Blyton, I was getting rear drum temps of 130 on the road and now the rears are binding slightly so it's all due an upgrade!!

that pulley has 6 bolts in an strange pattern, if you move the disc arount you will see that it will fit on all six bolts
Ben has this in hand, it's a lovely mod, apparently the beams suffer with unwanted rear toe changes in corners so it'll be nice to eliminate that, as for the pulley, I tried it every which way but loose, if I could have got all 6 bolts in then all 6 bolts would be in!!

Yes mate I know the feeling!! I will get down to the unit for that little job soon I promise.

We planned on the Corsa C but we couldn't find one to use in the scrapyard so Postman Pat's van will have to do!!!

Was kinda like this, but it went to the front of the caliper rather than rear.

Benn, I'm planning on something not dissimilar to that picture over the weekend.

im just not sure on how the bends will affect the air flow, I think it'll be ok. Might help a little bit

    Well now then,

Mallory Friday just gone, with Iain, Craig and Andrew, great day. No videos, couldn't be bothered!!

Brake cooling was spot on, really worked well, brake temps never above 230 once back in the pits, that included a lap of riding the brakes, followed by half a lap return to the pits.

Fluid will be changed and pads rotated as after every trackday but apart from that braking seems good, a day at Cadwell will seal the deal.

Did the first session back on the 888's as it was a little damp, they were so bad I came in after a few laps and threw the slicks on, even on them in a little dampness there was immediately more grip, slicks are awesome, really love them.

Met Jonlem, top guy, his mate took some absolutely epic pictures!!!! Yes I'm looking at the camera!!!!

This is one of my favourite!!

Team Shonky founding members!!! We all embarrassed a lot of people in expensive cars, including a Noble, a Cayman GTS on semi slicks who couldn't stick with us round Gerrards!!! I don't actually remember pulling over for much all day!!!! Apart from Craig who was absolutely flying, that car is quick!! Iain was also on it, posting a time within a second of Craig (albeit on slicks, compared to Craig's control tyres)

Where next, maybe squeeze a brands in as it's so close to my domicile, would like a Cadwell and the annual Team Shonky snow trip to Donnignton!!

On to the more serious business of new parts.

I cannot put words to this, the level of engineering is beyond anything I could hope to achieve!! Real skills.

Can't wait for work to begin on the new shell, then shizzle will get proper Harry Potter's Godfather!!

Blyton on the 18th Sept with Iain and some geezers with Astras
