Ahhh! the engine project is finally coming to fruition, and what a lovely bit of kit it looks to be, from your comments the added expenditure isn't doing anything to help to expunge memories of the original engine's origins! That said I for one am hoping your first drive of the new car will certainly help to bury a few bad memories...

I'm a bit worried still though, with a new engine, new shell, new suspension, just how do you intend to live down to Team Shonky standards....

    Keep the updates coming...

All in good time my little love petal.

Should be collecting week commencing 11/7/16 then straight up to Hangar 30 for Ben to work some magic, need to get my bits ordered from Hockly, they were out of stock on the gear shifter when I called but they said they'd do me a deal if I bought that a cage and a plating kit at the same time so..........

It's all getting a bit Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Kazakhstan .

Yes that's him Red 1.6 16v nova Ben. Nice guy.

Looked at dry sump, couldn't really justify the cost, I know it's not a cost if it saves ruining an engine, it's something that could be done, no-one has suggested until now that it would be necessary.

Im sure it will be spot on ,Bens work looks lovely , I lost an engine due to oil starvation ,had a baffled sump too! as you use it for mostly track work and it's an expensive engine I think I would bite the bullet .On a plus side you can rev them harder too
