Had a day at Croft with Iain and Harv.

Lots of fun, despite me not having an LSD, was spinning the inside wheel out of corners, which was boring.

Decided before we do Cadwell that I needed my SCCR sorted.

Got down to the Phirm so the guys were on hand to help if I got stuck.

Using an F18 as a donor box got it apart

    Bits coming off

1st to 2nd syncro was knackered, so I dived into one of the other clusters we had in stock and sorted that.

In fairness the F18 was in really good shape, all the syncros that went back in were in great shape.

Built back up and ready to go back together with the layshaft and onto the half plate

Ready to drop back into the case, which was cleaned first

Built and ready to go, the LSD is still at TSV HQ so as Iain and I will install the box at his before Cadwell we'll throw the diff in then.

Just need to see if it works!!

Just to add to the Croft update, House was rapid even without the diff. See my WIP for him in action!

The scaff bar was required on the rear as the rears touched and bent the arch lip down. The fronts caught too so we both hung off it and diy widened them which worked amazingly!

Yeah need to decide on the new shell colour.

Inside, cage, underside, engine bay will all be done in that grey all the touring cars use.

    Then outside...............

    Thinking Red!!! Haha

In a change of plans, we're heading to Rockingham instead of Cadwell. We've heard Rocky is closing it's doors to become a supermarket trolley manufacturing plant, so we figured we'd better get some laps in. We've been before so should be good fun.

In other news, some shell prep work this week, steering column, pedal box mount, dry sump oil tank snuggly located, nice little mount for the fluid resoviours too. As always credit to Ben@Hanger30 for his exceptional work

SCCR installed, sound awful, which I'm told is normal

Also for anyone that's interested TSV now has a Facebook page. Just search "Team Shonky Vauxhall"

Ben's done a cracking job of that column and the other stuff. Red sounds good for the new one too, it's a good colour really and would go well with the grey. Get Ben to weld up that heater hole before he's finished with it!
