Just a shame it's 16 weeks lead time. Puts us into April 2022 before we even receive the box.

Although to be fair I'm so busy with work I wouldn't be out in the car anyway.
Just a shame quaife took so long to decide that they couldn't do anything with the old box and give you a refund, could have been sorted weeks ago. How long has it been since they've had it?

Yeah this is probably the only part that pissed me off.

They had the box on 11th of October and I'm fairly sure they knew within a few days it was fucked.

But it's done now, money arrived back in my account this week, SADEV ordered, move on!!

Atleast now I'll have ratios that work with the car.

And SWR Motorsport the UK Sadev dealer have been superb so far.

To be honest, i have heard a lot of this recently through the grape vine, doing what i do i hear all sorts.

Worked on Sadev stuff for a number of years and for the price, the quality is great, does not compare to newer quaife stuff at all.

I wish id kept my sadev but times move on.

Good shout with the 82, its a great model and should be bombproof for what you are using it for, fit and forget.

As you say, once bitten, twice shy or buy cheap, buy twice! I'm sure once fitted you'll be thankful for the lack of stress and lovely nature of the new one

Looking forward to how you get on with the chassis leg and the mount you make, as said above HH do a mount for the 75 but im Sure Ben will do a better job anyways!

Look forward to seeing how you get on with it and the install
If Carlsberg did Motor clubs, then IDMC would probably be the best motor club in the world.

Thanks Boff, at the time the SADEV was a step too far but I've realised it's got to be that now.

Like you say, should be fit and forget, just need to ask them what sort of servicing/inspection they would recommend and then stay on top of that.

In other news, new welder arrived and setup, will be test firing some bits tomorrow.

    Well it kind of works

It's lovely to use, you can really tell the difference with a better machine.

Need to work on my torch control but that should come with practice

Running 0.8 wire but using a 1mm nozzle as I forgot to order the 0.8's!! (They're arriving today)

I need to slow down a little bit and get better penetration (story of my life)

I tested the TIG out but can't seem to get it to work, think the pedal is faulty. Some investigation needed

Get rid of the pedal and fit a push button on the torch mate. Try upping the juice another 10 amps and go same speed that weld doesnt look bad to be fair just looks like juice wasnt quite high enough thats why i asked what wire it was. Looks a better weld than most of the coded welder iv worked with can do
