Dead easy from what I remember, you basically need to pull the pinion out and the rack slides out. I think it's a circlip holding the pinion in? Worth replacing the bearing too while you're there. Few pics from when I did it (see page after too), but I think I used 'trackdaynova's WIP for useful pics to help.

My tip for rebuilding it is don't put TOO much grease back in as it'll stop the air flowing between the two sides and the boots will balloon up.

Not sure, but isn't there a bit (bearing or otherwise) that is nigh on impossible to remove? I remember reading about this somewhere on here. Anyone?
One day I'll start a build thread. One day...

As said, pretty straight forward, pop the cap off the pinion shaft, remove the circlip, pull shaft and bearing out, and rack will slide out of casing.

Track rods unbolt after removing the gators. Defo replace the bearing, its only a few quid. (type the numbers from the std bearing into the net and you will find it online)

The pinion bearing is crimped on so cannot be removed. It is withdrawn from the casing complete with the pinion so can be re-used unless the pinion is replaced. I had to get a bearing from a specialist to fit my quick rack internals
The track rods have a tap down lock tab where they are attached to the rack so replacements would be needed if removing them.

The nut like cap? I know about changing the track rods and know the arms unscrew... BRT will be able to sort the bearing i'm sure..

I did see that, but wasn't sure if it would be the same. I'll have a read.

I can't believe that you couldn't remove the bearing from the pinion with some effort and fit a new one?!

I think I just used normal gold grease or maybe lith moly, can't remember!

Olly's write up he changed the bearing, looks like it should be a hard one to remove and BRT have stock of it too

The 22mm nut with the preloaded spring under it... Do that need to be redone to a set setting? Or just up tight?

There is a plastic bushing inside the casing that can't be removed without damaging it. I stripped a rack down and had it stripped and powdercoated but the heat process in the powder process melted the bush, I couldn't find a replacement so chopped up another casing in an attempt to just salvage the plastic bush but it's pretty fragile and just didn't happen.
