10/40 semi will be fine as thats what vauxhall would of put in from the factory
GM 10/40 semi.

Dont need fully synth or 5/30 in an xe. 10/40 semi is fine

10/40 is the most universal oil and you cant realy go wrong with it imo, I put it in my daily which gets plenty of abuse and 5 changes a year so its also the cheeper option
Saab mech i know only uses 10/40 in anything under 98, 5/40 in anything newer...
