Default Taking ages to fill up!

Recently replaced the fuel tank on my nova as the old one had a rusty hole in it, anyway I know novas are not the quickest at filling at the pump, but I'm having real trouble now, takes 5 minutes to get a Tenner in! just keep filling up the neck and taking ages to do down! been filling up petrol cans and filling it up when I get home

Filler neck seems clear, ball thing in the tank seems to be working, any ideas?

    Cheers
    Chris

Breather pipe kinked happens virtually all the time when refitting a Nova tank.

I had this with mine, as everyone says, it was the breather pipe at the filler.

Cheers all! will check the breather again as I did replace it with a piece quite long that bends around

do you think this might be affecting it also:

As you can see the breather bit at the tank end on the replacement tank was broken!

so we pushed in a piece of steel pipe to try fix it, but as its a reduced size bore, do you think it might be causing the problem?

Also who designs a fuel tank that fills from the bottom!

They fill from the bottom so the air is forced out the breather. Otherwise the air will be forced up the filler neck.

Your breather pipe is probably full of Sika-Flex and cable tied up

See what happens when you bodge things you'll have to come up with a better solution than that
