No reply and again it slipped my mind to sort the log book out until one day I got a letter from Inter-Credit International saying I have been given an £80 fine for not SORN'ing the car, long story short but the DVLA had been sending letters to my old address and when I phoned them up they said it was no longer their concern goodbye, so I phoned inter-credit and they said I had to pay the fine no way out of it etc, was on the dole at the time so went to Citizens Advice and they 'handled' it for me.

So far I haven't heard anything back and I'm not sure if its time to worry yet as there was the potential of a £1000 fine and court summons if the £80 fine wasn't paid, which obviously I haven't paid a penny towards yet and I got the letter about February/March time.
I don'y know of anyone who has taken on the dvla ond won.

It's not in the hands of the DVLA any more they handed it to these Inter-Credit International people.

Inter-credit is the debt collector acting on behalf of the DVLA, the debt is still owned by DVLA unless it was sold to the debt collector

Maybe I was lucky as it was written of but not cat c or d due to being no car to assess? When the police recovered it to the insurance company it would have just been disposed of?

No, I never. Your second sentence is what I implied.

    White text ftw.
