What is it for as from what ive heard they run a different map
im not 100% if it came off the 1.6 or 1.4, but i ran it on a 1.6 and it fueled correctly. its an early type

that was the knock sensor, i got it fixed in the end, because i was running a late loom which has different wiring to the early looms. i shall update it
Why change it then?
because i didnt want to change my loom to a early loom, as some other sensors had different plugs, for example the coolant temp sensor plug was different.
and i would have to purchase a new early knock sensor
