    Default engine touching mount

    hi all havent been on here for a while since i sold my saloon turbo but cut a long story short

    i bulit a mk1 nova redtop a while back and sold it to a friend and engine has just blown up so he has bought another engine witch is the coilpack redtop now the engine is all fitted but have noticed the new engine is sat flush against drivers side mount litterally touching but the last engine witch was dizzie type didnt do this any ideas on what this could be caused by/are the engine casing any differnet any help would be much appreciated thanks

    Not sure the blocks would be any different; sounds like something else has happened during the refit.

    are you on about the conversion mount touching it?

    the later coilpack engines have a diffrent metal timing case and some conversion mounts will foul it, i spaced mine out out then redrilled the holes problem solved
