I nearly went for it a few years ago but got scared just before signing on the dotted line. I've just gone for Contact lenses instead

WEll done for being brave enough to go through with it. I'd love to have 20/20 vision without faffing

Was scary cut my eyes open with a mechanical cutter that flicks round the middle bit, my heart starting beating flat out, the lady asked if I had heart problems, I said I do now,

then the laser came in and gave it a skim and it smelt like burning hair worst 10 mins of my life but fingers crossed it was worth it,

got done in the back of optical express on the high street so when I walked out everyone walking about would of thought I'm a helmet wearing sunglasses and looked like I was crying my eyes were running that much my cheeks had tears running down them

Thanks I couldn't get contacts in my eye or I would have not bothered getting surgery, I hate wearing glasses under my helmet when I'm out on the bike

I got consultation 2 weeks ago and was told 2200 for top of range my mates the manager there and he spoke to the specialist about me and he pulled up my file and specialist said if I get custom vue or standard after 2 months I wouldn't notice the difference,

at the time when i booked standard was £395 an eye now £595 tho

then I got a refer a friend voucher for £500 off off on eBay so I paid £290 plus the £3 voucher
