    Default hazard switch relocation

    has anyone moved or replaces their hazard switches, mines in the way so was thinking about moving it or turning it to a toggle/button.

    Any pictures/info is greatly accepted

    Toggle switch would be best idea mate

    Wiring would be tricky though. There's a bunch of wires going to it and I'm sure the indicators etc depend on it.

    Yeah, its not a simple on/off style switch so replacing it will take a bit of wiring effort. Can't be that hard though.

    IIRC didn't baxter look at changing one to a toggle switch years ago?


    [edit] Easiest option would be to swap to a Mk1 button and relocate that somewhere maybe?

    In my 1.4 track car with no dash board, it was held belos the steeringwheel with a cable tie, no problems for MOT

    Could I put the switch behind the dash and run a separate rocker acting as a kill/live switch. Sorry if this sounds stupid.

    I want to run gauges were the middle vent/clock and hazard is

    if you change the switch you'd need the indicator tell tails to flash as the button it's self flashes normally so with out that it'd fail an mot

    Below the steering wheel I meant and it was a mk2 also so would definately be the easiest option for you to just move the switch

    Iirc the switch is also a relay for the indicators? Take it out and try your indicators and they just stay on i think? I could be wrong though
