Use youre mouse to control the throttle button and up and down arrow keys for gears.

i know i cant 'stage forward' HELP!

Click and hold left mouse button on throttle button, up arrow into first move mouse very slightly forward until car moves forward, use down arrow to go into nuetral and stop in the green area.

but its really slow on my comp, can i do anything to make it run smoother?

On the race screen, graphics button on left, turn everything off!
