I'd say they don't want to cover you as you aren't a trader they are really clamping down on this sort or thing, as in reality, when you crash your car try to make a claim, they will ask for proof that you're trading, you won't have any, so they will declare your cover void, and refuse to pay out. Then TJ says hello to his cell mate

It's hard to get one under 25. I've got one and I'm 29 which cost me £1k last year, ad this year cheapest quote I got was £900 ish but I've put the mrs on this year (she's 23) and its cost £2000 for us both, to drive any car we want, including small commercials all under the value of £9,998. But under this policy if I have an accident in my nova saloon they value it at £250 even tho I asked for vintage vehicles and modified vehicles too.

Wrong, mine did,as do all my friends who have traders (for trade i might add),you have to tell them to add them to your policy
At 23 i paid £1200 a year insured for anything other than a few mercs,a skyline and a couple of evos.
£30,000 cover, public liabilty 5m etc
    That was with dna

Bull as I email every reg plate strait to an mid email address.
But police are trying to cut down on non traders having these type of policies so most say you have to sell a minimum of 12 a year.
