Chris's 88 merit

I thought a would start a project thread for my 1988 merit .it will be a bit of a slow project . The story goes I had a phone call from a old work mate saying the old boy at the garage he just took over had a old nova he was getting rid of after owning it for 18 years. So a quick phone call to my wife to tell her it was a good Idea that I bought another one it was mine.

The start when I first got it back in April in need of some work




I will up load some more pics over the weekend to bring it up to date

A few more as I striped it down ready for pant as and sort the few bits of rust out

Than I picked up a set of wheels the same ones as i had on my track car as I am trying to add a bit of all the novas I have had over the years in to this one



Added a set of Michelin tyres

Should be done for next year just trying to find a engine to put in it at the min

Ahh ha here she is,! Love it, and them bump stops in spring, not seen them before bar for towing caravans etc..

I've got one of the them wheels if you need another?

The bump stops are out as if I left them in there was no movement in the rear suspension
And it will be a small block of some sort. I would love to put a c20xe in as I have a soft spot for the engine but it will be a small block

A few more progress pics the shell is very good but was just covered in small dents and the n/s/r arch is the worst of the rust
