    Default c20xe insurance

iv had a wee look through the previous posts and thing this might sound rather cheeky compared to the prices some people pay

im 21 and have 3 years no claims, and was getting quotes for my xe. The best so far is £970 with 7k mileage. Is this good? i think it rather expensive, what do similar people pay?

also i got a quote from the RAC for £400 but im not sure if its legal. I filled out the online form and in the modified section ticked the non-standard engine, but never got asked for any details so it technically would be insured as a 1.2 with a non-standard engine, which is true, but just seems dodgie. What do you think?

    The RAC one wont stand.

    £970 seems very good.

I pay around £500 for mine. But i am 30 with a clean license and 4 years ncb. All mods declared, limited mileage and kept in a garage.

Was the £970 quote this too?? Might be why.

If not i would get a run down of the details just to be sure.

That's very good, I'm paying £1200 for my XE Nova, with all mods declared, and an SP30. I was 20 when I took out the policy.
