    Default soldering

is there anyone on here that made the same mistake as me when soldering?

i was trying to heat up the solder on the iron and drip it onto the wire, i know think that maybe i should not bother with the restoration of my car because i'm an idiot.

but one whole roll of solder, alot of anger and a youtube video later and i now get it....

Nothing wrong with "coating" wires before soldering, Makes the job so much easier.

However I do use a solder bath to do this rather than dripping it on.....

You mean tinning? and no theres not, but you do need to heat the wire up to, its not a case of allowing solder to fall onto the wire

It's easy done, best to pull off a piece of solder it's easier to work with it that way mate, not as bad as me a few years ago, I managed to drip a big bit of molten solder on my hand, it left a nice big scare on it f
