    Gutted mate! I would call the police again and have them initially contact the garage for A) taking the car with no consent and B) not reporting the crash to their insurance. I would also contact VOSA and have them investigate.

    Seems he's talking pish, the clutch kicked out and power stuck? They shouldn't have been driving and secondly I'm sure VOSA would inspect the car and confirm there was no mechanical issue.

    100 percent seek legal advice to recover the car costs, your out of pocket costs for not having the car and then the fact they drove without permission.

    Best of luck with this - could have been resolved easily and he decided not to. We all know how quickly a thread or video can go viral and sink a business!!!!

    As John said - you must pursue it with the Police that they had no permission to take your car on the road!!

    That will be a total loss I am sure through insurance

    Defo a insurance write off. Contact VOSA & get legal advice chap as your about out of pocket by a car. Garanteed.

    Not good, gutted for you. Wound me up reading about it.

    Think everyone else has covered the 'what to do', just make sure you stick it to them - accidents happen but attitudes like that deserve everything they get.

    Sorry with whats just happening with the missis car i need to un subscribe from this as im getting wound up reading more about this now, really am sorry for you mate, i would of used the nearest thing to break his head open if it were me..

    Im really sorry to hear bout this pal, as others are saying though, dont leave it as it is, get down there take them to court, they were clearly ragging it, if nothing else was involved etc... Thats utter rubbish.. it dont look like a right mess of a car. I hope you screw them over like they have you mate! best of luck1

    Did you actually give him permission to drive it? Ive either nissed that or you havent answered yet.
