Saying "This is what you should have done" is not a socially acceptable way to discuss and share experiences. If anything it borders on arrogant, as it implies that you know best.

You have just done exactly the same thing on Will's thread. He might not want to hear what "you would have done" to a tensioner bolt to prevent his potentially catastrophic engine failure?

At the risk of "seeking only praise", Thankyou Dan. I do consider myself relatively easy to get along with.

Imo as long as you sand it of as flat as possible and get it as neat as you can it will be great, just maybe don't paint it gloss?

The main cover is all finished, I just haven't been updating the thread.

    Love the cover!
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Nice work on the cam cover. Crackle paint is great for looks and also hiding any minor imperfections. What have you got planned for the plug lead cover?

Where did you get the crackle paint from mate? I'd planned to do my rocker cover in it and some other engine bay parts too. Can you get different colours?

This is pathetic and pretty saddening tbh.

At no point did I say "This is what you should have done" so don't start putting things in quotation marks that haven't been said.

Why must you stalk another thread too and drag your twisted perception things into this also? Seems like you're on some sort of witch hunt to me. If you think people don't come to a forum for discussion, then it's you who's got the problem here ~ A critical bolt failing for THE SECOND TIME on a twin cam engine, imo warrants help from others, since he's bothered to post a dedicated thread on the misery it caused.

Whether input from others is listened to or ignored is entirely up them. But to say people can't comment puts you on thin ice, because my friend there's something called freedom of speech.

From where I'm standing it's you pal who's looking arrogant.

All this coming from the guy I helped with on advice a good steering column for the project.

Feel free to delete my stuff from your thread.

    Rocker looks good btw.
