Bought a Volvo V40 (V reg, 1999) due to starting the job and it turns out to be THE most comfortable car I've ever owned! So smooth so comfortable has tape AND CD player 73K on the clock loooooooooooads of service history, OK it has a couple of small issues but the ride and feel of it, even in corners, for a long fairly heavy car its so good! ​


Downside is its a 1.6, its too heavy for a 1.6 engine in my opinion but its pulls OK.

Not bad for £230!

TBH I needed to buy a car asap and this was cheap and ready to drive away, I do quite like Saab's too!

Volvo ftw

I cant explain how happy this car makes me, I've always like Volvo's and now I'm old (turned 30 ten days ago) its only right I slow down and do old man things.

Electric mirrors & windows, air con, heated seats so spacious and comfortable! Does seem to be a tad thirsty not sure if its the way I'm driving it (I know air con doesn't help) but it does seem to have a very slight stutter in second gear which could be lambda/afm or something like that, no lights are on the dash though hmmm

Looking at parkers your car only does 7 mpg more then the t5 cars

According to whatever I read (may have been parkers) it'll do 36mpg.

Must be something wrong with mine then :/

Some scuffs here and there and the rust (common places are front wings and rear arches as pictured) might replace the front wings as I think this one is a keeper! Clutch peddle is fairly stiff too which is strange.
