Default Series 3 Landy fix up.

Taken on my Dads ex MOD series 3 lightweight, has been sat for a few years think I might be a bit of work.

Few pics of how I found it.

As said, been stood a few years...

So chucked in a new battery

Turned it over to check mice haven't nom'd the wiring and seemed ok.

    New plugs

Also dropped the oil and gave it a new oil and fuel filter.

New fuel in both tanks and tried to get it to start, no joy checked for spark and nothing so think the coil is fuber. New one will be on order tomorrow so will see how I get on with that.

Before it was parked up all the paint was stripped off using baking powder (iirc) by a mobile sand blaster guy. All the alloy panels are nice and clean but any bits of steal are covered in surface rust. So once i get it out the garage i will attack it with a wire wheel.

Ideally we would like to convert it to an auto and fit a v6/v8 but after doing some research it seems like it will be alot of work. So not sure.

Everything to do with landrovers is a lot of work... not exactly rocket science though!
