watching one of those 'motorway rozzer' shows & the narrator says...

'the roads are much more dangerous at night...... nearly half of all fatalities happen in the dark'

how can it be more dangerous when obviously more than half of all fatalities happen in daylight??????

this is nearly as annoying as the time i heard a copper saying how dangerous drunk drivers were because 20% of all fatalities involve alcohol...
we know drunk drivers are bloody dangerous, but he used a fact that proved 80% of deaths are caused by stone cold sober drivers....

i don't mind safer roads, but i really don't like idiots that use statistics like... to use a famous quote... like a drunk uses a lamp-post... for support and not for enlightenment
