Default Don't work on cars when you're tired and not concentrating

I reversed the polarity on my FTO battery.

Blew the main fuse box fuse and battery relay (surge protection jobby)

Replaced those bits and then took it for a short run with what I thought to be a noisy clutch bearing where it'd been sat.

Turns out the starter dog gear had decided it wanted to make sweet love to the flywheel.

2 miles down the road after it'd got as hot as the sun it decided it was bored with life.

Been trying to get hold of a second hand starter motor all day.
Finally a mate from up north is picking one up as he's coming down this way tomorrow.

So need to refit the starter, make sure I've not damaged the fly and fingers crossed it'll run again.... better had as I'm on the rolling road sunday.
