Cheap Corsa Sport Rolling Shell
The car was due for another engine conversion after the engine I had fitted (an E16SE Nova GTE engine) had worn piston rings and became non-financially viable to repair.
The car is a T reg Corsa Sport 1.4, originally fitted with an X14XE engine.
The only parts not available are:
Engine & Gearbox, Headlights, Exhaust system
Bad points:
- Rust patch on driver's door
- Few dings and dents but nothing major just usual wear and tear
- The paintwork is starting to fade like all other Vauxhall flame red cars, but comes up a treat with a quick polish
- No headlights (had Depos fitted these will be for sale separately)
Good Points
- The interior is in good condition apart from a small amount of wear on the driver’s seat (as per usual with bolstered seats)
- Shell is generally solid
- Car is already lowered (approx. 70mm) on lowering springs
- Will come with a set of Astra Sport wheels sprayed black (steels in the pictures will be removed and the Astra alloys refitted)
- All electrics work (electric windows, lights etc)
Otherwise it’s just a standard car with most of it there and perfect for refitting an original engine (I have the original X14XE available if someone wants it, still a good runner just did the engine conversion for the practice) or as a great starting point for a high powered XE or LET conversion.
It will come with the arch trims, I took them off to respray and the cheap sealant I used to re-attach them was useless and they wouldnt stay on. Apparently TigerSeal is the best stuff for the job.
