Possibly too late, but if you used a Kent AST cam then it's better suited (lift/duration) to carbs. The NVO cams, I believe are better for injection. I run a near identical engine, but with a Kent AST2 and seeing 105bhp and torque at the wheels on the setup run - more to come it equates to about 130bhp+ at the fly

Good luck with the rest of the built - looks great so far, like a trip down memory lane for me.

Thanks for the advice. At the moment I plan to run the engine as I brought it as it all seemed to work well and to save on cash too!

Found a crafty hole in my CV Boot.

    Painted the cage Matt Black

Then added some more shiny parts to the engine

Went for Bosch Super 4's Hopfully they should help with starting the engine if nothing else. Iv heard good and bad reviews however the guy behind the counter seemed to think that these would be best especilaly T40's in over fueling situations

Also found these M8 Studs with allen head caps which should make taking the manifold off a breeze

And some free engine porn (The manifold is now fully wrapped!)

Iv taken delivery of loads of shiney parts all waiting to go on. This is particually nice!

Not long now untill I no longer need the car for commuting. Counting down then days untill I can get stripping!

Finished my placement so work can now start on the Nova! Managed to get quite alot done this weeked.

Made a catch tanks using a sports bottle from pound land!

Then fitted my snap off boss

Then started to remove all the trim. Takes about 5 minutes to completly strip a Nova! Just like playing with LEGO

    About 25kg's Saved

Time to remove the sound deadening, Tricky stuff this

Using pipe freeze works a treat but at £20 a can it probaly isnt worth it as I later found that a heat gun works almost as well

    About 30 mins later

To remove the tar I used this stuff, works a treat!
