After all the hidden metal work was done it was a simple case of welding the panels on. Made all the difference using Vauxhall parts..

A bit more of the same..

When doing the sills I had to remove the bottom of the door piller section on both sides and replace the inner skins as it's a right old rot trap as the sunroof drains dump water and crud in there. Nice design work Mr Vauxhall..

    ...and the other side..

and the rear arch lip folded over..

You can see on this picture how bad things can get! The car had had a replacement front screen at some point and it was a little on the small side. This caused a slight leak of water that got in between the bulkhead and dash panel. I removed it and I was glad I did!!

Cheers for the comments! Lol don't worry there is another 10 years of picture yet!

Next took it off the spit for a bit of front end stripping.

Next came the unenviable task of drilling out all the sodding spotwelds for the front chassis legs etc. Funking time consuming to say the least!

Removing spot welds for inner wings/strut tops...

    Damn rust is everywhere!

    More for the scrapman.

So this is what a nova looks like minus front end...

    Side on view...

Then the task of removing the rust that is hidden in between all the panel joins then a good dose of weldable zinc primer..
