So. ill upload a few photos of what ive been up to..
Converted some Bilsteins to adjustable platform:
sat with 12" springs at the moment but it sits too tall for my liking. going to try some 10"s and cut down the bumpstops.
also acquired some of my favourite wheels:
and then this happened after having a go in a GTi-R
Set about making up a manifold and that. so first up is flanges..
added in a cross brace between the struts that ties in with the cage while i was at it!
mounted the rad to clear the oil cooler in front
then i got carried away with the holesaws
Front panel notched to clear inlet boost pipe:
mocked up a stainless water pipe with turbo feed:
minced around with washer bag tank and intercooler spray tank mountings:
then the dash:
then started on the exhaust. 3" turbo back made from 304L stainless but ive decided im changing the down pipe and over axle section since these photos..
then i cut the boot floor out
that pretty much brings us to the beginning of this summer, i got kicked out of my workshop so i havent done a great deal. i plan on starting in business towards the end of this year so im prioritising investing in tools and sourcing a workshop over this now.
bought a gun and painted my cage and had the inside painted:
made this up too the other week.
lots ive missed out due to the fact im going to remake alot of the stuff ive done. should be getting a coat of arctic white on it in february and im working on a rear disc conversion using clio 172 stuff. ill update it when i remember too
Nice work mate. Some nice fabrication work there. + I'm building an 8v turbo myself.
