    today i had a bit play about with an old dash board i had laying around from a mk4 astra, got the grinder out and spent about an hour to see if i could make it fit. looks like it might work

    Dash looks made for the job mate and that manifold is a work of art, keep progress up this is going to be a monster. Got to be a TV feature in the making??

    Has that setup with the front panel/crossmember been tested before on the road with regards to handling?

    Had the crossmember on my MK1 split once and it realy caused some serious problems. That said, if it does work - it would make work on my TD a lot lot easier as radiator removal is a right pain in the **** at the minute. Ideally a bolt off bottom bar would be the icing on the cake so to speak, engine out work would be a million times easier without a hoist!!

    Always loved this car! Looking great so far! Mk4 dash looks right at home (but then again im completely biased to both novas and mk4 astras )
