    Default Nova GLF 2010...

Been on going since 2003 in various disguises..

I have lots of old pics on my old lap top over the years, which i need to time line.

But for now, i have an update worth showing..

This is an inlet manifold ive had for me. its been built from scratch on a std LET manifold which was cut back.

I have done various research into the making of this, and the fabricator is looking to sell these in the near future.

Its in an unfinished state, next stage is to add an end plate for the V6 throttle body then send it to the polishers to finish.

Im now debating removing the firewall, hiding everything and smoothing it all out. The engine bay needs another repaint anyway after fitting the F28.

Engine runs on Omex 600, GT3071R Turbo on a Nortech Manifold, Steel Rods, F28 with a quaife diff and equal length shafts, 3" Turbo Back Exhaust, Front Mounted Intercooler.

Any opinions and advice appreciated on all aspects of the engine and whats being done.

Lovely spec, and superb looking inlet.

However, and I do hope im wrong, but im 90% sure that inlet will end up cracking. Reason being the weight of it, and welding proper ally to the sh!te vauxhall used. The vibrations of the engine will more than likely cause it to crack.

dont think weight will be an issue. it is very light without the TB fitted.

Plan is to brace the under side with a couple of tabs anyway. he will fit these when he fits the lugs for the jenvey fuel rail

Put some dilute fairy liquid on it, heat it up until the fairy liquid goes black, and leave it to cool down to room temp. This will anneal the ally and should take a lot of the stress out of the welds, which will help a lot with the cracking.

Also a big fan of the design though, looks good Are the runner lengths tuned and plenum volume calculated, or was it just shaped to flow and sized to fit?

measurements on the runners and trumpets and base plate based on a very tried and tested 2000cc turbo plenum, and the volume 3.5 ltrs. worked off 1.5-2 x the engine cc

Looks like serious power is now on the cards, loved it in the full red and soft star guise

Are the bumper slats early Zafira ones?
