for those who dont know, regardless the concord agreement states it must be free to air. F1 has been sold to SKY, so get your £50 a month out to continue watching it

What a joke! Lets hope bttc doesnt
autosport fail
F1 has to be on free tv, the FIA made this a rule
if you watch sky sports news it confirms that it will be on the BBC and Sky until 2016
only half of the races will be on Freeview, and no doubt they will be the less than exciting ones, and you can guarantee that the end of season races will be a sky only deal... and how likely are we to find a pub that will show F1 on a saturday quail or a sunday over any football matches or finding a pub open at 5am to show it
Edit
Uh oh
It's been confirmed now on the F1 website

That's pissed me right off tbh, but Sky with have paid alot for the rights and money talks
So your going to have to have the SkySports package to view £50 plus !!!
Wonder if viewing numbers will drop ???

according to the BBC, last weeks F1 on its own was watched by 9.6million
Compare that to...
The Champions League final between Barcelona and Manchester United - Sky got 1.5 million viewers, and that was a big match, or even the Super Sunday, Manchester United v Chelsea match which got 2.6 million on Sky
So I can watch half the races, oh great! You can bet which channel gets the last race of the season, Monaco etc. Since theres no way I'm paying for Sky TV, I guess I won't bother watching F1 any more. Hopefully they will have to do a u-turn on this due to mass complaints, but I suppose its unlikely if money has changed hands already. This won't do any favours to the popularity of the sport.
The first, British, Canadian, last and Monaco are on the BBC, plus others to make up half
Sky are fukking bastads.Id have it if i could just have the sports channels.
No way would i pay £42 a month for a load of repeats, fukkin garbage
Doesnt suprise me tbh, end of the day Sky are out there to make money like every other business. And you can guarantee a lot of new customers just to watch the F1 alone.....
Not that it causes me much grief, i hardly could be bothered watching f1 for "free" on bbc.
