nah its actually fairly simple, just offer the shark fin up and mark where its clip needs to be along the car, bearing in mind you have about an inch to play with, fit the shark fin, then do the same with the skirt. just line the bottom edge of the clip up with the first corner on the sill and its spot on. only took us/them 20 minutes and yeah, I used tec-screws cos they are easy. at least the sills and arches are solid enough to screwinto now

Thanks buddy I'll be honest, my initial reaction was to scrap it, then I saw sense and just got the welder out. and now I know that it is completely solid, and will last me a good few years
and thanks, I cant wait to get it in, and XE's are definitely ftw, smallblock lovers just dont know it yet

i'll keep the updates coming, hopefully get the engine out friday

its currently running -40mm fisher price, my first springs and shocks, and 256x20 corsa sport brakes. when the XE goes in i've got some 2 litre calipers and green stuff pads to go on with these discs. i'll probably keep an eye out for some second hand coilovers for the front, spax or gaz or something good, and get some correct poundage springs for them too.

Today the Calibra fulfilled it's destiny as a heart donor
as i'm still disabled, Dan came round to help with the lifty outy bit

modifying the bumper to get a chain round the cross member

after some lifting, cutting, unbolting swearing and bleeding, it started to co-operate

choppy choppy. the easy way to remove drive shafts

    then Dan 'slipped and fell'

looks like Napalm has made an engine mount in this picture

and it's free! (sorry about dan looking like a freak )

Dan getting a little over excited

then tidied up as it began to rain and thunder. towed the shell into the road so i could put some cars away, and just as we left it a copper drove by and gave it a long hard look

so here she is, in all her resplendent glory

    a proper calibra engine bay

engine looks happy now its not confined to a barge

so now I just need to get it on a stand, give it a good clean and a lick of paint, and stick a cam belt on it too. not long now!
