Looks ace Ste! I've been following you build thread since day one, and it's right up my street.
I don't know why you lot are well against the idea. It would take a miracle for it to explode in some sort of Bruce Willis based film. No different to multiple carbs. If you think about it. Although being contained, the entry point of fuel in a carb is quite a distance from the inlet ports.
I wouldn't be against an enclosed system, but one like in the original vid where the fuel is basically being sucked across an air gap (as in, not enclosed) into the engine... hmm. Its still possible to flibble petrol everywhere, afaik in some applications its even designed for some of the fuel to drop out of suspension and not go in the engine

and how exactly would the wording on the insurance modifaction list go?
" well it has injectors that squirt petrol at the engine, it's not a fire hazard as the engine sucks the petrol out of the air so it's all good"
fook any benifit that may bring, i wouldnt run the risk of looking like Niki lauda for the sake of a few bhp,

I love how jumpy people are about it, you do realise a 1.2spi is set up in a similar fashion, and carbs work purely by sucking fuel into the engine, they don't even squirt it in properly
