...Mini vans were never rallied even though the longer wheelbase makes the handling much more predictable and I'm sure regs don't allow "commercial vehicles". My mate has a Clubman estate and finished 4th overall in the HRCR this year.

Mini's definitely were though, and the rest you chose are rally homologation models, successful or not

Nearly all sporty cars over that era were homologation models though!! Back when nearly every manufacturer gave huge backing in at least one motorsport discipline.
