Someone had decided to chop the electric window loom, probably because they hadn't put a hole in the door. So that was to solder back up







Regulators, locks and central locking fitted



New arieal fitted



Vinyls fitted before the quarter and front windows and all the surrounds





Not sure if the vinyl is supposed to be like that at the top? Maybe needs trimming so it's straight with the surrounds but need to find out before cutting it



Starting to put the interior back in...





Decided I don't like the compomotives, i prefer 15" on novas and they were 16" and et 45 which isnt ideal. So picked up some cesaros for £85 which I thought was a very good price. I will be refurbishing them but test fitted them to see what they look like. I think when refurbished with lower profile tyres, skirts on and car lowered more they will look good.

Got my skirts, handles etc painted

Set up ready to plastic prime





Then primed them with a dark grey primer to hide stone chips a bit more





Sanded down when dry and set up in the spray booth, a very dirty booth at the moment!





Painted with basecoat, a vw colour I picked, and then finished them off in matt lacquer. And then a nervous wait to see if they go matt enough. If not mixed or sprayed correct can either go too matt or stay too shiney.

What is the exact VW colour?, as I intend to do my bumpers, grab handle, door handles etc and your colour looks a great match! Dan
