Default Insurance for young banned drivers?

As you all know, I got banned 6 months ago, and have 6 months to go.

I have several options on cars, but would like to know if its even worth trying to insure the track car?

    Its either,

    c20xe nova
    1.2 nova
1400 306 (I would have to buy gf a corsa though)

or, I have been offered an astra mk4 van.

All the compare the market sites arent the best.

    Anyone got any specific sites?

I would like a quote on the nova, just to check what it would be

No offence but coming off of a ban, even thinking about trying to insure an XE is just plain stupid??

A low CC is the best way forward. Build a years NCB then go from there?

I would say ask sky but then you would have to be a member and i dont know your age.
    My Rebuild

They're over there with their new toys. Someone brought them in. No idea who bought them though.....

hmm highly doubt you'll get insured on an XE at 18 after a year ban.

agree with Pete tho, get something with a low CC and build your NCB from there.

    Ill be 19.

    And I probably won't.

However, I could do with a trade policy, as I regularly work on other peoples cars, and have a few myself.

Do trade policys cover modified cars?

Joe has a ban and more points on his record than Stephen Hawking on Mastermind, yet still got a "good" deal on his LET.

I'm sure he posted a thread about it in this forum, have a nose round and see if you can find it. Granted he is older than you, but it might be worth contacting his insco and asking for a quote.

I would spaff my undies if they said £2000 for the xe.
