    Default xe problems

    the engine was running fine the started to rattle bottom end took sub off and no morvment in the big end bearings any ideas

    i have taken them off the is slite scoring but dont seem to be any think to bad

    so you need to strip the full motor and get the crank checked, and look for any other damage.

    so what your really saying is put a new lump in its quicker and cheaper

    Well. Its a 20yr old motor. Its hardly surprising its goosed.

    Putting in another will probably sort it, but for how long??

    fankyooo gents. if it was me id rebuild it properly, then you know its right. ebay xe's are fine until it munches itself in 5k miles.....
