thats generally how you shorten a metal part....
if it was me, i'd fit the f28 after new synchro rings and a full check and rebuild.
If it works in the cav, it will work in the novaOriginally Posted by Rob
And to lengthen the linkage, do you cut it? Or turn the plastic part? TIT

The only way you'll know whether it'll last or not is to try it mate. There are so many variables with these things, previous milage, previous owner and servicing, how the last owner drove the car etc. Some'll be good some'll be half dead.
I'm sticking in an F20 first, 75k miles done mean't to be solid. I know there's a risk, but I wanna actually try it for myself. If it blows then I'll swap it for an F28 (hopefully by then David Dixon will have made a custom F28 mount for the original Nova gearbox mount ).
Im also waiting for his mountOriginally Posted by Nova_Tek
I want 6 gears though, that would be so cool in a nova
As I said the other day just fit the f28 and consider it part of the conversion, I have all the pictures you need here
Thats impossible to do as the original Nova chassis leg mount is in the way of the F28 as the box is so much bigger.Originally Posted by Nova_Tek
