earths all ok?
earths all ok?
spins over lovely
got earth for gearbox and earth from alternator bracket to battery there all ok and good no issues there
this is whats bugging me as everythink is/looks ok wiring wise
its just there is no power to the coil
i spoke to nobby and sloth on the phone earlier
sloth said about putting a ht lead straight on the coil with a plug in it to see if theres any power to the coil
and there wasnt no spark
the plug for it is abit broken but still is on there nicely
iv got all the wires connected that should be
thing is it run in nobby's ok
and literally all we did was take it out of his and put it in mine
so cant see what is wrong with it
anyone fancy coming to give me a hand
other wise i can see it ending up in 2 pieces and on fire like the cavalier and the astra coupe
The alt earth doesnt go to the battery, theres a strap going from the alt bracket to inlet manfold if its the same as an Xe
Have you wired up an ecu light on your clocks? Its a Brown/blue trace
no you've miss-understood i just put the battery earth to the alternator bracket just so it is earthed as i lost my proper nova one and im using the one that was left on the f28 gear box so its not long enough to go anywere else really
ah right,so have you an ecu light wired up? if not do it next
yer got it to the yellow/brown (iirc thats the one) but its to the right one
but no light is coming on
im in two minds to whether the ecu is getting any power or not
as i would have thought it would be on if it was powered
just really tedious that it sitting there spinning but no firing
really could do with an extrta pair of eyes to give me a hand
as im trying to do everything on my own
and trying to turn the car over and look and the plugs is a proper chore
put some pics up of whats wired to what Nathan ie the fuel pump relay etc
i would mate but my phone went on a spastic one over heated and now the battery is dead
but got everything wired properly to each wire using bullet connectors
(due to knowing what wiring is like and how much of a pain in the **** it is)
the only thing that i think may be the reason is the ign. live for that has to be wired up
i tried putting it to the battery to see what happened but still nothing
no spark no light no broom broom
anyone else got any ideas.?
crank sensor, my 2.0 8v is doing exactly the same, and im getting no pulse feed from the sensor. i will take some pics of how i tested it earlier....
