+ from battery to starter and nothing

are you getting a signal from the starter live from the ignition barrel?

ok, do you have something long with a rubber handle? if so quickly try bridging the red on the starter to the starter ignition live, quick touch and see if it turns over.

starter ign live? what ones that? the thin black and red one?

yes mate, quick touch to bridge them and see if it jumps as if its going to turn over or test the black/red with a multimeter to see if it gets power when you turn the key to try starting it

ok, bridged them, nothing. but if i bridge the big red with the strap from starter to solenoid the starter spins slowly and doesnt catch flywheel

sounds like its not pushing out, maybe knackered starter or wrong one!

hmmmm i wonder why the starter wire form the ignition isn't working then.....its not immobilised is it?
