must be, dont have a multimeter but i caught the red wire with the earth and it sparked.
just tried -onto box and -v of battery
and +from battery to thick red on starter still no joy
the black wire on the corsa loom is ignition live

this needed for just turning the engine over? i have joined that to the single pin plug above box.
IIRC the blue with a white trace isnt needed for turning over.
And im sure its the alternator light, as opposed to the starter?
Take this off, and try it.
the blue with white trace i have onto the alternator.
Just the red to the starter and the red/black to the solenoid is enough to get it turning over.
(Assuming its got a engine to chassis earth connection)

Big red to the big plug, black with red trace to the solenoid, there is no other wires needed to turn it over let.
Try a jump lead to the small red
it shouldn't stop it turning over but it gives the ecu its signal, it connects to the clet loom black wire (single plug) the only starter wires are the black/red striped like nova, thick red to starter and maybe the thick brown from battery to block
