it also has a clifford concept 650mk2 could this have caused problems when the battery was removed?
yeah i would look into that mate, try a wire from the ignition where the black/red wire starts and put it to the solinoid on the starter then turn the key....chances are the clifford is also connected to the factory starter wire!

it runs, guff starter. pal cam down and confirmed that it was knackred. swapped the spare over and it fired up
