    i don't want an xe, i am looking at doing this more for the actual exercise of tuning up an engine. i don't want to go up the strip @ the pod, i don't do Kroozes, i rarely even get involved in races, i am more interested in just improving what i've got.

    AND as my car has only done 9500 miles, i am no way going to start mashing chassis legs & welding bits into it.

    Sorry i didn't explain myself, the car had other mods too, iirc a big cam and head work. will try see if i can dig it out. The results showed a derestricted airbox with panel filter and decent, big cold air feed showed about 10 brake. All done on the rollers.

    the bosch system really is basic.... there isn't a magic chip, like some ecu's, gm did manage to uprate them for groupA competition use but i don't know how

    they used it in rallying and said the owner before them had it chipped i don't no wot group they used it in tho

    does the group a build manual have any useful engine info?? or is it just shell prep??

    that is simply a kit fitting instructions book.....

    the big thing with groupA was that they couldn't mod the head or manifolds, so it basically got 12:1 cr pistons, and they ran on german 4star

    right, having spent an age going thru a valve book, i reckon bmw m40 engines have suitable valves..........anyone got access to them???

    any good engine builders can sort it

    stu, i was more hoping for someone who worked at a place with them in stock so they can check them........

    i have found stock in GSF Spares in leicester, but its a right pain to get there
