Have sort of started chasing up forums etc for engines now, I've seen a few decent ones on ebay go for a good price.

Update
No pics but a bit of progress. Came home after work got changed and popped into the garage.
Didn't realise how much rubbish and mess I had left on the floor infornt of the passenger seat. I took out the hoover and cleaned up the place.
Managed to push through the alarm wires into the bay to wire up the warning beeper. Had to solder up the wires in the bay so had a few practice goes. It's been a while since I last done some soldering so took a few tires to get my eye in.
Sorted out all the soldering and positioned the beeper somewhere safe. Just wondering where to put the actual siren.
Called it a night. Will continue and finish it off tomorrow.
When ive fitted alarms to cars i usualy use the thread that sticks through from the pedal box bolt on the passenger side of the battery tray, its ideal as it meens the siren is tucked out the way and hidden, also meens no drilling for holes to mount it

Most sirens are watertight, designed that if they get wet it dont matter, fire up a pic of it if in doubt
I used to have the siren on the driver inner wing, where you'd normally find the airbox. There were holes already drilled in the inner wing which fit the siren bracket exactly.
Didn't know they were fully watertight.
It does say that it should ideally be located away from direct water spray.
Update
I spent a bit of time working on the Nova. The weather seemed ok enough to do a spot of painting. Nothing major, just coating the new screws I got in black so they matched the old ones.
Rubbed them down with some 800 wet and dry
Then gave them a few coats of black paint and left them to dry
I then moved on to the siren, managed to find a suitable place for it to be mounted. I soldered the wires to it.
I then got side tracked a bit and ended up preparing and spraying my bros spark plug cover on his Cav. Spent the rest of the late afternoon doing that. I may pop into the garage a bit later and finish off where I left it.

where di you mount the siren in the end? Another reason for me mounting it where i suggested is that it is covered by the blower motor cover
Pretty much under the blower motor cowling, best place, wires hidden, won't get wet and will be heard well.
