    Arrow Project: Gold Snowplough Turbo

    The time has come!

After speaking to the bodyshop owner last week and sealing a deal that was too good to turn down, it was time to start the long awaited project.

We agreed on: boot & doors delocked, GSi spoiler painted and fitted, door rust cut out and welded, both rear arches cut out and new ones in place with them rolled up, dents sorted, engine bay stitch welded, Harry Hockley fast road kit fitted, strut top plates welded on, full exterior respray, colour coded door handles and snowplough and rear bumper resprayed. There's probably a few more things but I can't remember

    So I got cracking.

I stripped the interior the other day, mainly the rear half as most of the weld work is going to be in the rear arches. I was also very pleasantly surprised that the floor was so clean.

Next day, I took it to a mate to get the engine removed (sorry no pics d'oh) and then the tow truck came to take her away.

Today I got some important parts through. The Harry Hockley fast road plating kit (thanks to SR-Rally for checking that out in person at HH ), the strut top plates and the boot popper kit too

Went over to the bodyshop, which conveiniently is half a mile away from me, to drop off the strengthening stuff.

Only very minor work has started as the guys were working on an old school Ferrari resto and a '75 Merc two door coupé (will try grab some pics if I can).

Some minor work on the door corners

While there I thought I'd get before shot of the arches for old times sake

Can't wait for them to go ^

They also took off the locks ready for welding. This is how she stood as I left.

Rusty old School V DUB next to it!

Got home and found these on my table

Absolute bargain at £44 all in!

That is all for now. Hoping to see them start with more major body work in the next few days, so untill then...

I can get them to keep the old arches and I'll send them to you if you want

Can't wait for this to be finished either but still a while to go. Should be special as the colour seems to be rather rare.
