Technically there is a right way of doing it if you follow the front seats and buy 60/40's with the guides already there

Wee hole in the seat - Pop the insert down until it clicks into place then slot the headrest into the inserts

    Job's a good'n

My inserts stick out by about half a cm or so but they still work and they lock and can be adjusted

My headrests CAN be adjusted, because the metal bars they sit on allow you to move the headrest up and down on them, so there isnt any need for having the plastic bits visible, they can be adjusted all the way up t0 about 4 inch !

but i set them on about 1 so all headrests look even.

Also the way you said you can only do it on 60/40 seats, this method can be done on any.

I don't think that this constitutes a how to article, because no way on this earth is anyone else going to do what you've done to their rear seats.

if the seats arent compatible eg: ones with no holes in the seat metal frame then use cav gsi rears and fit them into to parcel shelf edge

I know, i thought the same, but thought i might aswell show how i did it

And also this way works, saves people raking around for cav GSi seats and stuff as mentioned above, who wants to rake around for cav GSi seats ?, its easier to just get your grinder out and get it over and done with.

Oh, there's the huge prob then!

All normal 60/40 spilt seats have the holes.

To get the best fitting guilds your mk2 Astra rears from a cdx. I do have the part number. I've done 4 sets or seats now and didnt have any prob till my leather as they guy add drilled them like Mr Lewi, so nothing fitted and would sit flush (personal hate) and would fall out.

I swapped all my Gsi inner with the leather, they all sit perfect now.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
