    why not just wire into the circuit of the rear screen?
    If Carlsberg did Motor clubs, then IDMC would probably be the best motor club in the world.

    im doing it that way aswell

    and yes too much current if used on same switch as rear window, windscreen man told me that slso

    What about if you don't have a heated rear screen, do you reakon it would be ok then?

    Oh really?

    I KNOW that on some Fords with heated windscreens, they are run through TWO 30amp fuses.... (one per side of the screen)

    I have no Haynes here but can someone have a look what fuse protects the rear window heater circuit? Id be very suprised if it was less than 30A!

    Oh and Landrover heated screen kits come with a 70amp relay Ok, it aint a nova but that gives you some idea of the amount of power they use

    Heated FW uses a LOT of power. I know this. I have one. My revs - on the V6 - drop when I turn it on.

    Mine had two heated tracks on it, four wires coming off. I think we wired in two relays for each track, but from the same switch. Its a big light up one on the dash so I won't forget to turn it off

    Yep they usually do have two circuits(one per half of the window)

    then should be fine as it one switch for one window

    but its a "ON/OFF" switch so u need to rememeber to turn her off
